こんにちは。シルバーウィークは皆さん楽しみましたか。

私は今年はじめての大学での講義「観光心理学」の録画編集を行なったりいろいろと考える時間に費やしました。少しだけ、自分の気になっていた場所、江戸東京博物館に行ってきました。台風の近づく中でしたが日本人、外国からの観光客であふれるくらい盛況でした。ここは江戸時代から現代の風景が展示されていて、見応えもあり、めちゃ楽しめる。観光コンテンツになります！まだの方はぜひお訪ねくださいね。

Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed Silver Week!

I spent much of my holiday editing the recordings for my very first university course, “Tourism Psychology,” and taking some time to reflect and think about many things.

But I also managed to visit a place I had been wanting to see—the Edo-Tokyo Museum.

Even with a typhoon approaching, the museum was bustling with both Japanese visitors and tourists from overseas. The exhibits take you on a journey from the Edo period to modern-day Tokyo, and there is so much to see and enjoy. I had a wonderful time! It is definitely a great tourism attraction, so if you haven’t been there yet, I highly recommend a visit.

The photo below shows a scene that may bring back fond memories for those of us who grew up in the Showa era. It almost feels like a scene from our own homes! ☺️

There was also a fascinating historical photograph showing a major flood in Tokyo.

History has a way of repeating itself. With heavy rains and flooding causing damage in many places today, the photograph reminded me once again how important it is to be prepared for disasters before they happen—not only when an emergency is already upon us.
