私は肘折温泉に関わってまだほんの数年だが、開湯1,200年もの歴史のある温泉地。どのくらいの人が訪問し、癒されてきたことだろう。見て見ぬふりが出来ない悩みは温泉地を守る後継人の減少が否めない。旅館だけにとどまらず、商店やこの温泉には欠かせない「朝市」もである。ここ数年だけでも行商しにくるお母さん方が随分と減ってしまったのを感じる。
とにかく今、多くの人たちに肘折温泉を知ってもらい、ファンを増やし、この肘折を存続できる方法を考えていけないものだろうか。まだこの答えは見つかっていないけどー。
とりあえず、肘折温泉で知り合えた常連仲間と若松屋村井六助旅館前の「足湯スナック」を開催してみることにした。

８/8・９・１０の3日間。～肘折ファンの肘折ファンによる肘折ファンと住人の為の夜の社交場～

I have only been involved with Hijiori Onsen for a few years, but it is a hot spring area with a history of 1,200 years. How many people have visited and been healed here? One problem that cannot be ignored is the decline in successors to protect this hot spring area. This issue affects not only the inns but also the shops and the essential "morning market" of the hot spring. In recent years, I have felt that the number of mothers coming to do business at the market has significantly decreased.

Somehow, we need to find ways to let more people know about Hijiori Onsen, increase its fans, and find a way to sustain this community. I haven't found the answer yet, but for now, I decided to hold a "Foot Bath Snack（bar)" event in front of the Wakamatsuya Murai Rokusuke Inn with the regulars I've met at Hijiori Onsen.

For three days, August 8th, 9th, and 10th, it will be a night social gathering for Hijiori fans, by Hijiori fans, and for the residents.

I'll be enjoying being the hostess while battling my arch-enemy, the mosquitoes. Please come by if you can. I'm looking forward to seeing you.
